Kickflipping into Cinema 4D

I set out to challenge my skills in rigging by diving into Cinema 4D to create a unique animated short. The concept? A hand model rigged and animated to perform a kickflip with a fingerboard—a playful twist on skateboarding.
The goal was twofold: to test my technical abilities in rigging a detailed hand model and to animate fluid, realistic movements as the hand jumps through the air and executes the kickflip. Using Cinema 4D as the foundation, I meticulously rigged the hand for dynamic motion and brought the fingerboard to life with smooth physics.
After completing the animation, I turned to post-production to add extra flair to the scene. From playful animated GFX overlays and vibrant textures, these finishing touches elevated the animation and gave it a polished, cartoon finish.
This project was both a creative and technical experiment—a way to push the limits of what I could achieve in Cinema 4D and bring an idea to life with energy and style.
